How to Play Memory Match

Goal: match every pair of symbols in as few flips as possible. Easy is a 4×4 board (8 pairs), Medium is 6×6 (18 pairs), and Hard is 8×8 (32 pairs).

Controls: click a tile to flip it, then click a second tile. Matching pairs stay revealed; non-matches flip back after a moment.

Tips:

  • Focus on remembering the last 2–3 tiles you've seen rather than trying to memorize the whole board at once.
  • Flip tiles in a consistent pattern early on (like row by row) to build a mental map of the board.
  • Once you've seen a symbol, prioritize testing tiles that might reveal its pair over totally new tiles.
  • Speed counts toward your score too — don't overthink early flips when the board is still mostly a mystery anyway.
  • On the larger Medium and Hard boards, patience pays off — a few extra seconds spent placing each symbol in memory saves far more time later.
