How to Play Kriss Kross
Goal: place every word from the list into its correct spot in the grid.
Controls: type letters directly into the grid. A word in the list is checked off automatically once its spot is filled correctly. Click Check when the whole grid is full.
Easy mode uses a small, fixed grid shape. Hard mode uses a larger, themed word list (animals, food, space, tech) with words of many different lengths branching across a bigger, irregular grid.
Tips:
- Start with any word length that only has one candidate — there's no ambiguity about where it goes.
- Once a few letters are locked in from crossing words, re-scan the word list for anything matching that specific pattern.
- Unlike a crossword, you don't need to know what a word means to place it correctly — it's pure letter-matching logic.
- On Hard, the longest words usually have the fewest possible placements — anchor those first.
